I have been a long time fan of refashion co-op and I'm very excited to be a new contributor. Here is my first "refashion" refashion. This dress belonged to my mother and she definitely wore it out in the 80's. I saved it from certain destruction after my parents divorce and have had it in my closet every since. I just loved the print, color, and the fact that my mother loved it so much. It wasn't until she had seen the "after" dress that she admitted that my great-grandmother sewed it for her in her 20's.I knew that I wanted to make it one shouldered and it already had a built in elastic waistband that I used as the new bust line. It held up great considering this dress is as old as I am.
Here is the new neckline in progress.
And the end result!!
Happy Refashioning All!!

I love a dress with a family story. Now you can enjoy the pretty dress like your mom did.
