I was going out with some friends last night, and had the urge for something new to wear. So I grabbed this top that I'd picked up on my most recent thrift store run. I liked the print mix and the colors, but not the awkward flutter sleeves. Plus I didn't read the label closely enough, thought it was polyester when it was actually silk on the outside, and shrank it in the wash enough that the lining was hanging out of the bottom.
I'm in the middle of a from-scratch project and didn't want to rethread my machine, so I did this one completely by hand. Took the sleeves off, took the still-too-low-cut panel out of the front, and re-hemmed the lining. And ended up with this:
Finished it just in time for the festival! (Even though I didn't manage to get a picture there.) But I think this will work much better as a sleeveless top, layering over tanks.
Thanks for looking!
