I've developed a habit now of making dresses out of men's polo shirts. This one combines two into one, and I've been able to use some of the leftovers for trimming on another shirt. Polo dresses are super comfortable, cool, and great for traveling. Thanks for looking!

Love the dress. What about a link or some directions? Were the origibn als so enormous you just cut off the tops and freeformed a top which you then sewed, with gathers to the bottom shirt? It looks great- and cool.

I'm not sure how to reply to a comment, so I'm just posting another one. For both shirts, I cut them across underneath the placket and cut off the sleeves. For the top, I cut two pieces apart, then cut the back piece to be the same width as my shoulders while leaving the front the original, wider width. Then I sewed them together at the shoulders, which left all the extra fabric draping in the front like a cowl. I sewed the side seams after leaving a hole for the arms to go through. Then I sewed the top to the skirt, leaving a large seam allowance on the skirt so that I could turn it over and stitch it down to make a casing for the 1/2 inch elastic that I threaded through. If you are lucky, the original shirt that became the skirt did not have a longer back; if it does you will have to cut and hem the back to match the front.
