Reworked fancy dress

Hi everyone! Hope your summer is going well! I've been a bit slow on diving into my refashioning pile, but today I tackled this bright turquoise 80's-ish number. It had a nice fit through the body, but no way I would wear it anywhere except to a costume party.

Now, with the sleeves and a decent part of the bottom gone, it's much more modern and stylish, I think. I love when a few simple changes can completely transform the look of a piece! Anyone have a dressy event I can wear this to, now? :P

So cute on you now! That is a great color for you, too. You should find an event soon.

Very inspiring! I am impressed with how you could envision such a super cute dress from such an 80s over-the-top and too-much dress. Super job and the dress and you look fantastic!
