I hemmed the bottom. took up the top (so I wouldn't have to remake armholes which I despise immensely) and made it a V-neck. I also did not take it in, since bringing it up made it fit a little bit better on the curves of my body. I opted for a cream belt with a flower (which btw is a hair clip to hide the buckle of the belt). Here is the end product.
The link for this refashion can be found here. My boyfriend btw when I came out with it on, thought it was really cute, which is something he doesn't say normally, plus he hated the dress when I tried it on for the before picture. So I must have done something right!
This other thing I wanted to include isn't necessarily a refashion but for any of you who have leftover lace (I still have a lace curtain I thrifted), this may be an interesting post for you. :) I had leftover fabric and lace and had just enough to turn it into a top. I made buttonholes in the top to slide a ribbon belt through. Information can be found here.
1 more day until a 3 day weekend. I am very excited! I'm picking out my sewing projects!
XOXOXOXO,
LaLaLauren
