Greetings refashioners. I finally finished this refashion the other weekend but I can't wear it yet b/c the weather has gotten cold. However, come spring I will have a new dress. :)
First I started off with this dress I got at goodwill for $0.99. Normally I am not a yellow person but for some reason I could not put this dress down. There were some great features about this dress... The tucks, it fit, the overall shape of the dress...
The bad features includes it was completely lop-sides on the bottom of the dress. It also needed something at the waist to break up the bodice. It was too long.
Here is what my end product was....
This dress is totally lots of fun now! I'm so sad that it is cold out now but I have something to look forward to come spring (or a warm front!).
For more information see here on my blog for more pictues. :)
Happy Monday!

I have no idea how you did this, but it looks awesome! It really takes skill to refashion a dress like this. I'm impressed.

Great colours!
Thank you! Actually the middle trim is glued on and a part of my stash. The bottom part is a fabric remnant that I just folded in half and sewed to the bottom of the skirt :)
You are right, the new version is definitely much more fun! The pink and yellow look great and so bright together.
