Reversible Dresses

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and that 2012 is treating them well. I have done a couple of refashions this year but my camera recently died so I am going to show 2 outfits I made previously.

The first is my 'Down on the Farm' Reversible Dress which I made from a pillowcase. I found it at a local Thrift store and knew it would go well with some African fabric I had left over from a skirt. Put the 2 together and a fantastic reversible dress is created. I designed the pattern the same, front and back so I can just lay it on the pillowcase and cut once.

The second is my daughter's Sesame St dress which was made from a blockout curtain I picked up at a fete. It was for her 3rd birthday and it was great to be able to put the number 3 on the front as well as my favourite Sesame St character - Cookie Monster. She is now 4 and is still wearing the dress and making everybody smile!

My New Year's resolution is to remember to take a photo of the before article before refashioning. I get so excited about what new item I can create I forget to take a picture!

If you are interested in seeing other outfits that I have refashioned and made, please visit my blog:
