Pin-spiration

Like many people these days I've been inspired more than once by my Pinterest explorations. This shirt is no exception.

You can see the entire transformation on my blog

Haha, at first I thought you'd made the jacket out of the shirt and I was gobsmacked (where did the ribbing come from?). Cute little puckered shirt, too :) I like the elastic waistline, so I'll have to take a look at that tutorial later.

There is a tutorial on my blog about how to make the sweater, too. The waistline is actually just shirred and not elastic. I just learned how to do that it's quite fun!

Good way to take an inspiring picture and make a great shirt with what you have! Thanks for the share, and love the sweater. -Seeks, EOD

I have been looking for something to do with some button down shirts that I don't think I will wear much. What did you do with the sleeves? I would love to see a pic without the cardigan and of the back to get a better idea how it was constructed.

I just cut off the sleeves and did a rolled hem around the arm holes. I just have it button down the back and added some shirring in the back too.
I'll try to take some pictures without the sweater and post it on my blog www.chicenvelopements.wordpress.com
