Racerback Tank Refashion

I've amassed quite the collection of DIY tank ideas and I wanted to share this one with you first because I am pretty proud of how it turned out.

I forgot to take a picture of the back of the tank but you can use your imagination.

It's an average, run of the mill tank.  I wear it when I work out but that's about it. I find nothing more shameful than keeping your clothing locked up in the closet.

I recently acquired this panel of material and thought it would be perfect for my refashion.  I laid it on the tank until I got the flower situated just right.  I pinned the panel to the tank and sewed around the flower.  I cut around the flower to free it from the rest of the material and then sewed around the flower again to reinforce it.

I have the best helper in the world!
I turned the tank inside out and cut out the tank material inside the seam outline.  I did this verrrrrry slowly and carefully.  I then trimmed all the stray threads I could find (there were plenty) and voila!  Finished product!

Not too shabby!

I see you have a Sewing Assistant keeping tabs on things also! Nice use of the floral motif in the racerback area - just make sure you reinforce it well because that area takes a lot of the strain when the shirt is stretched while on!

Thank you very much! We'll have to see about how well I reinforced it ;) I've worn it once already but I haven't washed it yet. I did make sure not to cut the hem in the hopes that it would carry most of the strain of the material. Thanks for the input!
