The fashion show is growing near... I am embellishing my ball gown right now so I will show you when it is done (might be all night...). I made a top to wear with my funky leggings. I am nuts about the sixties: I love the shapes, the patterns and the colors. So I decided to make a sixties' inspired top, and I enterd it in Made-By-Rae's Sping Top Sewalong 2012. Here it is:
It is a simple t-shirt I refashioned from a XL men's t-shirt and appliqued some 60s inspired shapes with double sided fusible interfacing. I also made the collar squarish to add interest and added pointy sides. I am quite happy with it. More details on my blog: sewliltime.
