I had a tshirt that I bought just after I had given birth to Naomie. I was breastfeeding and had huge boobs (lol) so I ended up buying a few tops that are far too big on me now I've shrunk back to my pre-pregnancy size. I decided to turn one of them into a knotted vest top. I love wearing cropped tops over vest tops, I think it looks awesome so it was a no brainer for me.
Unfortunately I don't have a before picture because I always forget to take one! It was just a basic short sleeved, long tshirt. To make my new pretty top, I just cut the sleeves off. I was going to cut the neckline off aswell and make a low neck so you could see the vest top underneath but decided to keep the high neck instead. To wear it, I just gather the material around my waist and tie in a knot.
