Here's my latest post in the series...hope you enjoy it!
I started out with a plain pink t-shirt that I got for (you guessed it) 49-cents!
The shirt fit me (except for being too snug in the neck), so my daughter tried it on...

I decided to turn this too-big top into a cute dress by taking in the sides and sleeves, and then adding some length using shirts she had outgrown...
To add the extra length on the dress, I simply cut the bottom (hemmed) edge off of each shirt, and then sewed them onto the edge of (what ended up being) her new dress.
To finish it off, I made a fabric flower using some of the scraps from the t-shirt I took in.
When I was all done, this is what it looked like...
So what do you think? No doubt my daughter was very happy with the end result!
