Encore: Turtlenecks to Scoopnecks

Last month I refashioned an unloved and unworn green turtleneck into a useful scoopneck top. This month 2 more t-necks became s-necks using the same technique. I chose a teal rib knit to finish the neckline of the cream top and a hot pink rib knit for the red top. Now I have 2 more long sleeves top to wear this winter and spring. The contrasting colours really brighten up my usually black and grey winter outfits.

What a simple, but absolutely fabulous idea! I do not wear turtlenecks because I feel like they are choking me. I have seen many in thrift stores that I really loved. Now I know what to do with them!Did you trim them with tee shirt fabric?

Thanks Ladies for your comments! To: Primcreek - Turtlenecks choke my short neck too! You can absolutely trim them with any knit fabric you like. I used some remnant rib knits that are in my fabric stash. But tee shirts will do too!
