Spring Has Sprung Dress

This $3 thrift store dress may look hideous now, with its shoulder pads and awkward length, but its sweet floral print will lend itself nicely to a breezy little spring garment.

Frumpy Floral Dress Refashion - Before

I pretty much overhauled this dress, but basically, I chopped off about a foot of length from the skirt and used it to rebuild the bodice. The top portion fits and flatters much better now.

And I kept the original pockets!

Today, I paired it with my favorite boots, a brown woven belt, and a navy cardigan, but once summer is in full swing, I can see myself wearing this all the time with just some little flip-flops.
