The Lady In Red

Another free dress that a coworker gave to me. I love freebies! This refashion was the quickest yet. I think I had it completed in under one hour.

This is why it was a freebie  - there is a big ugly hole on the collar. The little white spots are from laundry detergent. I will have to re-rinse it before I can wear it.



I chopped off the collar and some length and hand stitched the neckline using a ladder stitch to bind the lining and the fabric.  I also handstitched the hemline

 With just some minor changes, I have a new dress ready to wear for  the Spring/Summer season. I plan to make a longer belt with the leftover part of the dress. But that is for another day : )
