Garage Sale Dress

Hiya! I picked up this large dress at a garage sale on the weekend (fill a bag for $2!). The print and colours stood out & I knew I could make something to fit me from it...
My 1st idea looked something like this...but after sewing it together I found that it did nothing for me & my flat bust...
So I ended up chosing a flat front with just a small gathered neckline...it is sewn to the waist of the skirt part up to just before the side seams and the back ties up. I added extra elastic to the waist at the back to make it fit better...
Hopefully we still get a few more warm days so I can wear this before I'm stuck layering up!!!
As always you will find me over at Made with Love by Hulibug :)

I love that you refashioned it in 2 goes. Just goes to show how with refashioning you can make pieces that truly fit you.
