My First Refashion: A Sweater

I'd like to say a quick hello as a newbie member of the Refashion Co-Op, I'm excited to share my refashion projects with you all.

On my own blog, probablyrachel.com, I write about a bunch of topics including marriage, owning a home, making things and of course sewing projects. I constantly find myself thinking about things in the refashion basket and what potential they have. I thought it would be only fair to share my first real refashion and what got me started altering my clothes.

It started with an old pink sweater...
It was nice enough but pretty scratchy on the inside. It also made my fine, thin hair stand up with static, occasionally giving a shock when pulled on or off. But it had a great detail on the front.

I decided that this traditional sweater would have a better life as a cardigan so I snipped, sewed and attached a couple of ties on it... and voila. A tie-front cardigan that doesn't make my hair stand on end!

The full details on this refashion can be found here.

I'm looking forward to sharing more of my projects with you and continuing to be inspired by your designs!
