When two (or three) become one

So I had this idea that I would take the broken buckle off one of Himself's belts then the other working buckle off the broken belt (stay with me!)

and make a belt for myself, which would have holes punched in it in a cute flower pattern to make it more girly.

Yeah. Not gonna happen. Thanks Mom & Dad for the set of genes that gave me tendonitis that gets worse with age. (To be fair, I can predict weather with more accuracy than a professional meteorologist, so can't be TOO annoyed with the 'rents).

I hunted in the old buckle drawer in one of the Furlas (come back, Furlas!) for something else that would let me avoid trimming down Belt One to fit into Buckle Two. If I ain't punchin', I ain't CUTTIN'' leather today.

Ah, there's always 'something else'. A buckle with a smidge of rust got itself wrapped in a beige suede cord, which also did for the assembly and end holder loop thing.

(I marked the belt with dots so that stronger hands than mine could take care of the punching).

Not what I planned, but -- meh -- what ever is?

(Craft room crafts made out of old clothes here if you want to waste time get some useful ideas this afternoon).
