Our Lady Of Guadelupe Denim Jacket

So there's nothing fancy or complex about this refashion. The denim jacket began life with sleeves,I gave them the big chop, then dusted red dye onto certain edges of the jacket for a bit of variety, and finished with a cut out from an old, over sized and crappy t-shirt.

I wasn't even that careful with my sewing edges as for me, with this sort of item, the point it that it is, how shall we say, organic. I didn't want it too neat, especially as my finishing touch will be an appointment with a cheese grater. You can never have too much texture!

Hope you like it,it was a fun, ten minute minute Sunday morning play.

I have so many things in my closet I want to refashion and do things to, inspiration seems to be everywhere and I want to grab that whilst I can.

What do you do for creativity and arty outlets. I don't claim to be good, but I do have fun.

PS Please visit my blog at  tasmanianminimalist.blogspot.com and for other forthcoming refashions.

Here you will be able to see my journalling my year without buying clothing (painful though it will be). All support generously received.
