$5 Thrifted Jersey Dress Restyle

Finding a secondhand garment that actually fits during late stage of pregnancy is quite remarkable, and in this instance, finding a forgiving stretchy jersey dress in an op shop happened to be a real treat.

Comfort is absolutely the key here, this dress is off-the-charts snug, plus its front pleat works well with my large load. However, its original length was not good for me at all, so I chopped and re-hemmed.

I've also removed the three front gold / pearly buttons, which coupled with its lace trimmings, were just a little bit too Nanna for my liking.

I toyed with the idea of removing its lace trim from either the dress sleeves or neck, and did actually start unpicking with my seam ripper, but had a change of heart. I've kept all lace trimmings in place, and added my recently made necktie brooch as an accessory.

And my dress is done, perfect for my final few weeks of pregnancy.

I love this! It looks so flattering on you too! I remember with my pregnancies the final few weeks I had NOTHING to wear! This dress looks comfy too. Great job!

You look amazing! I love the refashion. I'm glad you had a change of heart about the lace because I love it! I think the lace adds a little something to the dress. So cute!
