This blazer was... interesting. I got it at a clothes swap a few months ago. No one had taken it yet by the end of the night, and it's obvious why. My husband's first comment upon seeing it was "It's never too late to begin a career in clowning."
But the colors are beautiful, and the fabric is a lovely silk/linen blend.
I cut trapezoids out of the fronts, back, and sleeves. Then, along with a scrap of black fabric and a zipper salvaged from other projects, I sewed it all back together into a skirt.
It's still fully lined, as the jacket was, and it still has pockets! The wild print is still wild, sure, but I think it works much better as a skirt than it did as a blazer.

Lovely shaped, i agree with you! Much better as a skirt than as a blazer...i'd see it well with a white blouse and accessories ^^
I agree to, so much better as a skirt. It looks very cute.

When I saw the first picture, I didn't think, that it would be possible to make something nice out of it.
But you did it! Beautiful.
WAAAAAAYYYYY cuter as a skirt! I love how the pockets totally work with it!
I. LOVE. IT! The pattern works so much better as a skirt! Great job! I would totally wear the skirt. I'm a little jealous.
