Colorblock Heels Refashion!

Hi all!

First of all, I hope this post is okay. It's not "clothes" per se, but it is a wearable and it is definitely a newly-important part of my wardrobe. If this isn't okay, feel free to remove!

A few days ago I had a blast painting some shoes. I LOVE shoe recons, but I'd never done one before. I decided to start small, and I think they turned out great!

I started with these super-boring black heels I bought for work:

So I took some black waxed cotton cord from my jewelry-making stash and super-glued them in rows over the painted edge:

This wasn't part of my original plan, but it turned out even better than I'd originally hoped!

Thanks for reading!!

Thanks so much for sharing.
Accessories are welcome. As with any garment, it is much better to refashion the shoes and wear them than to let them linger in the closet unworn.

These look great - the cord on top of the painted edge gives a very finished look. Good job.
