Unwanted sweater finally makes itself useful

Hello, Refashion Co-op! I'm Valerie (sometimes known as The Unfashionista), I'm new here, and I'm really excited to be joining your creative community!

For my first post, I'd like to share a little project I did recently, turning a sweater that never fit into something I'd always wanted—a stocking cap—and something I always need (anyone else out there lose their gloves as often as I do?)—new mittens!

Here's how it started...

And here's how it ended.
Basically, I just cut the sweater in to the shape of a hat and mittens, and sewed the pieces together. You can read about the whole (more-frustrating-than-I-expected) process at The Unfashionista blog.
