The boxy sweatshirt

Believe it or not, "the boxy sweatshirt" refers to the "after." I actually made that on purpose. I started with this big, thick dress:

I love the color and it was really cold at the time. The skirt was so long and wide, I decided to mine that area for a useful piece.
I made a top out if the skirt from a dress.

 I wanted a high cut boat neck. I considered doing an off shoulder Flashdance sweatshirt (look it up, kids!) but chose against. maybe next time. I'm sure one could eyeball it and see what I did, but if anyone wants details, the full post is here on my blog, Craft, Thrift, or Die. Just bear with me, it's a long winded post.
