Dresses For December Part 6, Shrunken Lace

Hello Refashion Co-op. I have been working on dresses all this month and this lace dress was nice but needed a couple fixes to make it wearable.

The lace on this dress had shrunk somehow, probably in the wash. I couldn't wear it like this. The lining is hanging out from under it.

I decided to add some length with a piece of black lace. It was a quick and easy way to lengthen the dress a little.

The sheer sleeves were too long and hung over my hands. I needed shorter sleeves.

I added some narrow elastic to the seam around the wrist and it made a little cuff at the end of the sleeves. It stays above my hand now, that will work much better for me.

The dress is fit to wear in public now. The lining is covered, as it should be and my hands are not covered, just as they should be.
