Hello Refashion Co-op. I really liked the linen of these pants so I made shorts by cutting off the legs. The legs were so long and wide that I thought I could make something out of that fabric too.
Cutting them off and making shorts was easy.
I cut the pant legs open and that gave me 4 linen pieces to work with.
I connected all the panels and added this wide ribbon between each linen piece. I liked the ribbon and it added some extra room to the skirt.
I added an elastic waistband and hemmed the skirt as well. This was a fun project that used every inch of those linen pants. Let's hear it for zero waste sewing! Thanks for reading along, for more pictures and details go to I Can Work With That.
