Refashion Co-op was inspired by Wardrobe Refashion, which many of you may be familiar with, but we are operating slightly different rules.
Contributors sign up for an indefinite period of time, but are required to post once per month. Less than that and you'll be taken off the list, but you can rejoin at any time. Once you're signed up you're free to blog away as you wish. We are looking for refashionistas to join the co-op all the time, so please join us!
How to sign up:
Please fill out the form here --------------------------------------------------------------------->
Your info is whisked away to our editors, and kept in a queue. When there is an opening, our membership editor will email you an invitation to contribute to the blog. You just need to follow the instructions to accept this invitation, then we'll add you to the contributors page and you're free to blog away!
Q&A for contributors
How many contributors do you have?According to Blogger's rules we can only have 100 contributors at a time, so we are asking all our current contributors to post once per month at least. Anyone posting less than that has probably got other things going on in their lives, therefore we'll take them off the contributors list so that someone else can have a go. You can always rejoin at a later date.
How long can I stay as a contributor?
You can stay as long as you like, provided you post something once every month. Refashion Co-op is not based on pledges for a certain length of time like Wardrobe Refashion was.
Do I have to pledge not to buy new clothes while I'm contributing to refashion Co-op?
No, you don't have to (though if you do, that's great). We just want to offer a place for refashionistas to meet and share ideas.
How do I find all the posts by one contributor?
Each contributor should choose a label for themselves to use. This label will enable everyone to find their posts easily via the list in the sidebar or the contributor page.
How should I label my posts?
We have a set list of labels that you should use for your posts (below). These will ensure that you post can be found when readers search for a certain label. If you would like us to add a label please email us (refashioncoop @ gmail . com / subject: Labels). Labels will be moderated by the editor in charge, so if you use different labels they will be removed. You should also choose a label for yourself (please keep to one) to enable everyone to find your posts easily.
Fashion: accessories, bags, jackets/coats, kids/childrenswear, ladieswear, menswear, miscellaneous, shirts, shoes, shorts, skirts, swimwear, tops, trousers/pants, underwear
Methods: crocheting, embellishments, knitting, making from scratch, patterns
Sizes: petite, plus size
Blog: articles, book reviews, giveaways, introductions, tutorials, what would you do?
Will the editors change my posts?
No, as editors we are just here to check that Refashion Co-op runs smoothly. We will check your posts for the correct tags, and profanities or offensive language (not that we think you'd do a thing like that!) but the blog may attract spam etc, so editors are on hand to keep that under control. We won't be editing the content of your posts for grammar or spelling or anything like that!
Can I link to my own blog and/or shop?
In you blog contributions you are more than welcome to link back to your own blog and even to your shop if it is relevant. However, please refrain from using Refashion Co-Op posts and comments as an advertising space. If you wish to sponsor us, get in touch and we can think about how this can be done.
Can I post photos on Refashion Co-op?
Yes please, we love to see photos of your refashions. Without photos it all get's a bit boring don't you think? If it is a photo you took (or a friend's who's permission you have asked) and it is of you or something you have made - then we can't wait to see it. If on the other hand it is your photo of something you have not created yourself you can post it but please make it clear in the text that you took the photo and also who or what is in the photo.
However, photos you have found on the internet are not really yours to use and therefor we would advise you not to post them on the Refashion Co-Op. If you want to know more about what photos you can use and how to credit them have a look at this wonderful poster by Pia, Erin and Yvette on design*sponge.
