My name is Debby-Lee. I am a working mum of two kids with a passion for craft, and frugality. I'm fairly new to sewing so I will be starting from scratch here. I find your posts incredibly inspiring I have to say.
I can knit, crochet, paint and draw but I have a huge desire to make my own clothing.
Now this post ins't "really" a refashion as such. But for now this is where I am at. I had a stash of terry toweling training pants and decided I wanted to try to turn them into pullups to start phasing out disposable nappies for my toddler son. Now so far I have only finished six. But I have some different supplies to try another angle also. So my mind is ticking over.
Anyways I'll show you the ones I have done as an introduction.
They are hand sewn toweling soakers attached to premade training pants. I currently just chuck plastic pilchers over the top but I'm also working on some woolen soakers from knitted jumpers.
I know they aren't pretty but so far they save me six nappies a day. That has to count for something right!

Hello there! I'm a working mom of two as well, and also teaching myself to sew (it's been a long 22 years since junior high home economics). I popped over to your blog and saw all the crocheting and knitting - I've very impressed (I'm relearning to do both and it's hard!) and I'm looking forward to seeing your refashioning projects here.
baby refashion!
diapers and pull-ups are soooo expensive!
Great idea.

Hey guys thanks! Knitting and crochet are my main crafts. But sewing is such an awesome thing to know. I find what ppl can do very inspiring! So I'm super keen to be more proficient. This is such a great place to find inspiration.
