Vintage sheet skirt

Like lots of other refashionistas, I love using sheets for upcycled clothing. I made this simple skirt, including the fat hem, for my daughter, from a vintage flat sheet.

Next time, I will definitely make the width 2X her waist measurement, rather than just 1.5X, which is what this one is, for maximum twirl and fullness. Good thing I have lots of sheet left!

What a lovely skirt - I can't deny I'd like one myself, adult sized ;-). I too find it difficult to judge just how wide to make an elastic skirt for sufficient twirliness, but this one looks like fun! I'm sure your daughter looks very adorable in it =).
