I have yet another question...
Have you or any other bloggers you know of ever done any of the following refashion projects?
1. Tailored Blazer from large, frumpy Blazer
2. Skirt to Shorts
3. Trousers to Shorts
4. Shorts to Skirt
If you do I would really love to hear from you - please email me at carey.katrina@gmail.com
Thank you so much for your help!
Regards
Kat

one the shorts from longs. It's as easy as measuring where you want them to come to and then either adding a hem allowance (as you would in turning up jeans/trousers/etc) or cuting off and leaving to fray. Cherrie
I love your blog you create some interesting styles love the thrift shopping then hey presto you have turned your prizes into amazing outfits looking forward to following you xx
There is a young lady who is doing a lot of refashioning here in our area. At present here work is a lot of corset, bustiers, but she also does some fab things with old jackets.
here is a page with some of the jackets reworked into bustled party wear.
http://www.lyndsey-clark-boutique.co.uk/page/3 If you go to previous pages at the bottom you can see more of the jackets...or just work your way through all of it. you will be amazed! She was volunteering in a charity shop and started doing these reworked items and the area manager for the charity was so taken with them that they opened a boutique called "Reworked for Oxfam" most of the things they begin with are things that didn't sell as is at the charity shops!

Hi Katrina. I am very impressed with your blog & posts. Amazing selection & refashioned dress shirts & clothes which gives some new ideas to me also. I generally refashioned the trousers or the jeans into my shorts. Use to wear shorts at home so i need them for daily use. Good job Kat.
I have done a few trouser to shorts projects. However, I didn't take before pictures. It's obviously super easy to just cut the trouser leg to whatever length you want and then hem the ends.
thanks guys for your help!!
