Hi! I'm new here!

A refashion I have finished although I might add
straps to it

I have been following refashion coop for a while and I just love it so I'm very pleased to be contributing!. I'm currently involved in two different refashion projects so I'm really really busy.I started my refashion project Make Do And Mend Wardrobe Refashion as I wanted to improve my wadrobe using materials I allready have and using the existing clothes I love as patterns to refashion the clothes I don't love so much. I also decided I didn't want to take too many short cuts as I wanted the clothes to end up being loved and worn often. Here's a few pictures of a refashion I'm doing at the moment: I hadn't worn the cardigan for ages as I didn't really like the shape and the full lenght sleeves and it only fitted with somthing very thin under it. I'm pretty pleased with the result. I just have to decide whether or not I want to add straps. It does stay up but straps might be a bit more secure.
Here's my blog

The before picture.cardigan doesn't fit anymore
I never liked the shape of this anyway.

The back/used to be the front
A couple of days after I started Make Do And Mend Wardrobe Refashion.New Vintage lady started her refashion Make and Mend 2011. I really wanted to do both so I joined hers too.

It's difficult for me to take pictures with the garments on as I use my phone camera which is extremely basic but I will try to get some pics with me in it later.

Wow ! What a fabulous design. I absolutely love it. It looks as if you paid a fortune for it.

Put boning in the side seams to make it more secure for you.

Thanks for all your lovely comments I'm glad you like it. I think I might wear this with a full circle skirt with a big petticoat underneath. boning would definitly help. I could insert a couple of channels to pop them in. I have never actually used boning myself so would be a good thing to try.

Totally amazing - gorgeous concept. Very inspiring, as I would never have thought to convert a sweater that way!

Thank you Kathleen!

Beautiful refashion and I love that while the result is fantastic it's really quite simple. I love a good halter, but I think straps would take this up a notch and you could still keep it a halter. BTW - love the back detail with the buttons.

Re: boning, it works, but it's a pain to wear :(

Hi American Nanny. Thank you for your lovely comment I know what you mean about boning not being the most comfortable to wear.If I put straps on it I think I will try to keep them detachable so that I can wear it in lots of ways.

Wow I love this. I often tune item upside down inside out but I always forget to try turning the back into the front. Good thinking! I will have to keep this in mined
