Here's my purple dress. I made it from a full-length skirt that I didn't ever wear very much because it had an elastic waistband that was waaay too tight. But I loved the patchwork (which, incidentally, I think works better as a dress because you get to look at it a bit more).

Purple dress from old skirt
Hi! I'm new! I'm Kate and I have one of those blog things here.
Here's my purple dress. I made it from a full-length skirt that I didn't ever wear very much because it had an elastic waistband that was waaay too tight. But I loved the patchwork (which, incidentally, I think works better as a dress because you get to look at it a bit more).
If you're interested, I wrote an epic blog post all about how I made it. But I really do mean epic - it was my first sewing-related post and I got a bit carried away! (There's a photo of what the skirt looked like before, too - but not a very good one because I didn't take one specifically for the purpose. Sorry!)

Very cute dress! You did a great job!
The dress looks lovely, it's a great refashion from a skirt. Thank you for sharing and welcome to Refashion Co op. We are happy to have you here as a contributor.
