Copycatting a copycat

So, I'm a fan of Charity Shop Chic's blog and especially some of the pieces she's copycatted from Carrie Bradshaw(SJP). In particular, I loved her take on a simple white button up blouse and you can view it here. She used your basic button up white dress shirt, which is what I started with as well. I don't have the before, but you can see hers and you get the idea. Same thing. I found my Gap brand top at the thrift store for $2.50. Now, I did make some adjustments, such as leaving the collar, leaving the neckline high enough to be worn without anything underneath and minus the extra buttons along the new neckline. I also had to take the body of the top in as it was a bit wide on me. Without further ado, here is my copycat of the original copycat Charity Shop Chic...Thanks for the inspiration!
I brought the sleeves up to a 3/4 length (personal favorite length of sleeves)

Paired with a high-waisted pencil skirt and some lovely leopard print heels and a bold necklace :)
So, what do you think? Did I do her justice? I love the top, just making those boring button ups so much more interesting! Happy Refashioning!!!

Peace,
Andrea
