Red steampunk sweater coat from Love Flow Creations
Hello again everybody. This outfit started out as a size small red turtle neck. No, I'm not a size small, as if!! LOL but for some odd reason this top fits me. :-)
I cut the sweater down the center front and serged the edges. I rummaged around in my storage room. I'll have to show you a picture of what that looks like. You be afraid, very afraid. LOL I found this fabric remnant that coordinates perfectly.
When I went to cut it in two pieces I found that the one side was already curved on the sides. So I went with it and used it for the main skirt piece. I added a shorter second piece to make a peplum. But it wasn't steampunk enough. So I dug through my lace box and found this vintage lace I bought of of Ebay awhile back.
To complete the look I matched it with a red and black top my friend Katie gave me. A skirt I purchased at the pirate festival last summer that I attend with a group of my peeps. I cinched it up with a great leather belt I picked up at a thrift store somewhere. I would wear this outfit with my read leather boots. Yes, I have red leather boots. I just love boots and have a very nice collection indeed. This sweater coat has been posted in my Love Flow Creations Etsy store. Happy refashioning everyone.

What a great red outfit. I love the "new" sweater coat. Red boots sound good to me. :)
