Leg Warmers Refashion {fail}

These scraps were left over from a few refashions ago, and my plans for them were a super cute pair of leg warmers (aka baby legs) for my sweet baby girl.

However, a few minor issues led to my fail and I'm posting this seeking advice and suggestions on what to do next to make them work or what else I could do with them.

Here's the finished product:

You can find the full tutorial and fail on my blog, All Glorious.

Hope you all have a great Saint Patty's Day weekend! And remember, wear green or get pinched by those festive folks (such as myself).

i have the same scraps waiting around for a better idea! i also was thinking of making something like baby legs but for my 2-year-old (they're cut off from an older child's jumpsuit thing) to wear over his clothes while we're out in cold weather. but then i realized that they wouldn't stay up well, but i didn't want to add elastic. so i just left them there waiting for inspiration. i think they just need to be tighter all around, like regular legwarmers. or perhaps making a new tighter jersey cuff (in a nice coordinating/contrasting color) for both top and bottom. but i have a feeling they'll slip down if the middle isn't tight, too. i have baby legs i made from socks and they were tight/bulky enough not to slip down after 3 seconds. good luck! and if you come up with something, let me know because i'm interested! :) lisa

Lisa, I did think about making them tighter all around. I may end up doing just that because I think that may be my only option...
