Not summmer anymore - summer dress

Summer is definitely gone here, but these two pieces laid together on the refashion shelf, and so wanted to be joined together and become a summer dress.

I gave in.

The dress is made from the bust part of the top and the skirt from the dress.
The ties are made from most of what was left of the top (the front part of the ties are made from the bottom of the top, that had decorative embroidery).

I made "bias" tape, that I stitched to the hem.

The slit is made from the button closure placket from the top. All the buttons button.

Edit: I made this little decorative thingy from the very last scraps from the top. I wonder where to place it on the dress?

What a clever 'omsyning'!

(Here's hoping I spelled that right!)

Perfect IWOM ;).
Maybe I should begin to make resumes in English if my blogposts *think*.

And thank you all three for the nice words.

I think you should put the deco on the midriff under a boob!
