The length was just enough for me to wrap it around my wrist 3 times and snap it, like so.
For the other half of the zipper, I cut off the gray fabric close to the teeth and cut it into three pieces in slightly different lengths.
I took some jewelry-making wire and wrapped it tightly around one end of the three pieces, holding them close together. I left a piece of wire sticking out on the end, onto which I threaded a cone-shaped metal bead. I made a loop in the wire, added half of a magnetic clasp, then wrapped the excess wire around close to the end of the bead. Then, I did the same thing on the other end of the three zipper pieces.
I can wear it with the clasp on the outside of my wrist...
or with the teeth-side out. I love the punk-rock look of these two bracelets!

If you had a zip leftover from a refashion, this certainly would be one way to go.
I'd be worried about the teeth catching on clothes or skin -- do you find that's the case?
IWOM: EOD
So far, it has not caught on my clothing, but I did need to take it off before picking up my 3yo son. I didn't want it to scratch his leg.
Industrial meets feminine. I like how the beading softens the whole look.
Two very clever ideas! I love them both! :) Lisa
