I know it isn't summer any more, but here is a refashion i was working on a few weeks ago and didn't get round to posting - it's a pretty green dress that was a bit shapeless and baggy in the top.
At first i just cut off the skirt, which was fine on its own, and thought i might use the top fabric for a bag or something.
But i quite liked the shape and cut of the back neckline, so i turned it around, did a lot of unpicking and re-stitching of the dark green binding, and made it a lace-up back top, which i love the look of at the moment, and is easily re-sizeable. I also added some dark green fabric to the skirt from another top i cut up, to add a bit more feature and length, and to make a stronger waistband as the original was a bit flimsy.
As usual more detail here on my blog.

I love love love love the lace up back! Very cute.
Looks like something you'd wear in…an enchanted forest.
Go figure.

Enchanted Forest yes! So cute. I love it.
This is very Mori girl. I love it. I can see it worn with a sweet cropped cardigan, textured stockings and little ankle boots with shoelace ties.
I especially love the ruffles in the waistband! This is an awesome transformation! Love it!
