Hi, Pam here from Threading My Way.
As kids grow, their clothes often become too short, whilst they fit everywhere else... simple solution; add extra length to extend the life of pants and jeans.
I know I should have taken a photo of the jeans before the alterations... just imagine the photo above without the pink.
First step was to add the bands at the hemline. This is such an easy way to get more wear from of a pair of jeans.
While I was at it, I couldn't resist adding some colour to the pockets as well.
Head on over to Threading My Way, to find the full tutorial on how to lengthen kids' jeans.

These are so cute and I see jeans like this where the cuff is turned up with another fabric underneath, so they pass as jeans you bought this way on purpose ;) My son has been growing like crazy lately, but for some reason they don't continue to fit in the waist, so you are lucky! Seriously, such a cute outcome! I may try this with jeans of my own ;)
Oh that is adorable Pam
I like the additional pink in the pockets which ties the whole look together. These jeans are just adorable.
Such a clever idea to add the fabric at the pockets as well as at the hem. It just makes them look so much more polished
