Greetings Refashioners! I am still playing catch up in life, don't you just hate it when your life gets in the way of your life? I realized I had not posted this refashion yet! First I found this dress, which I thought I could wear "as is" but when I put it on, well, it was just sad. Like a sad sack.
Also one of the hugest things that I completely missed are the 2 holes in the front of the dress. One really big and it looks someone attempted to close it.
I removed the straps. I detached the skirt from the bodice and seamed out the holes. I then used an old shirt I had and never wore and attached the dress to the top. The rest of the shirt I used to make a belt. Done!
This dress is less sad now! Too bad it got freezing really quickly and I can not wear it right now. But I'll be all ready for either a warm front or spring. :)

Really cute outcome! I think you could totally rock this with some fleece lined tights, booties and very warm outerwear :) You totally saved it!
Like your idea!!! xxx
Nice save! I'm with Andrea - tights, boots, and a warm coat - no waiting until spring!
The "new" dress looks so cute.
