#1 RanchHouse Bags AND Refashion Runway Sew-Along Bag

RanchHouse August/September Sewing Goal: 
  • Mend, alter, refashion 10  Bags. This is #1.
This Shopping Bag: 
  • Is also for Refashion Runway Sew-Along Bag.


After: Grocery / Shopping Bag
Goal: Refashion Burlap EatZi's bags from stash. We have used these for several years.

Before:  *Burlap EatZi's bags- stained from washing.
* Denim saved from jeans,
*Fabric in stash from ruined canvas bag,

After: Sturdy Bags: Hold heavy cans/milk jugs/ 2-liter cokes with out tears.

Steps: Piece new covers, Press and top stitch seams. Turn under edges, press, and baste in place. Top stitch in place over fronts/sides of burlap bag. Leave original handles/ sides/bottoms.
Used straight stitch Juki I use for jeans/denim with heavy duty needle. Corners were tacked in place by hand.
