From thrifted Tank Top, Tshirt and Vintage Pillowcase to Bohemian/Gypsy Skirt

I started with this funky vintage pillowcase, a tank top and a Tshirt I scored at my local thrift store...
Just cut that pillowcase into wide strips, sew them together, and gather at the top edge.
Cut the Tshirt into strips, sew them together, hand pleat and sew along the bottom edge of pillowcase section.

Add another tier from a thrifted sheet... then....

Take some trim off of an old valance, and add between the tiers for accent.
The bottom of the tank top becomes the waistband...
then the valance trim makes a another appearance as a tie up for a style option.
I had a few pieces left over, so I made a matching bag :)

Please forgive the amateur style of rudimentary first effort at blogging... all feedback and advice is welcome!

I think you're doing a great job - both with the refashioning and the recording - keep up the good work!

The vintage pillowcase was a gem and it really suits your gypsy skirt refashion. Look forward to next post.
I would like to see a photo of you wearing it.

Hahaha, that's not going to happen - it wouldn't fit me!

I agree with the others that your write up is good (if only I had the same ingredients!) and the skirt is beautiful. I`m reading this on St. Patrick`s Day and the colours couldn`t suit the day better! I hope you are wearing it today. When it is tied up on the left side, it sets this skirt apart from the masses. The bag is a great touch, especially that it uses fabric from the lower part of the skirt. Good job!
