Stripes and Flowers

Hey there! I'm back to show you what I did with the top portion of the floral dress used in this project from a couple weeks ago.

Floral T-Shirt Dress Refashion - Before & After

All that was left was the bust part and its ruffle, along with a little bit I had trimmed from the skirt to even out the high-low hem. So I brought in a striped maxi skirt (another previous refashion) to create something new for my summer wardrobe.

I removed the skirt's waistband and pulled it up to be a dress, and the floral fabric became the yoke. I cut the removed waistband into strips to make the arm and neck bands. And finally, I added an elastic waistband to give it some shape.

Love the combination of stripes and floral and how you used the remnants in this latest refashion!

Cute!!! This reminds me of the Renegade Seamstress Challenge from last summer. I loved the stripes challenge. In fact I have a stash of stripes set aside that you motivated me to get busy on.

Love, love, LOVE! It's been a year since Refashion Runway 3 when we did a Floral & Stripes/Geometric Challenge and I see this theme/combination EVERY WHERE now! I'm glad it's still in because it's just gorgeous. Really well done!

Love it! The arm and neck bands out of the stripes really make the dress!

I like how you kept the collar. Brings the whole thing together well.

Gorgeous. You always make the most beautiful things. I swear I could find a dress like that in a high-end boutique.

Is there anything you can't do and don't look good in? As usual wonderful refashion and you look amazing. :)
