Falling For Florals

Hello Refashion Co-op. I know floral prints are usually for spring but this brown seemed like fall to me. I liked the dress but the top was much too small. I decided to save the bottom and make it a skirt.

I planned to remove the top and leave the waistband in place. I unpicked the wrong seam and removed the waistband from the skirt by accident. Oops! I got rid of the top and stitched the waistband back on. I connected it all the way around the skirt to finish the raw edge. I shortened the zipper and it was finished.

The top started as a turtleneck top. I used the neckband for another project and had this shirt waiting to be remade. I made it into a fitted, 3/4 length sleeve top.

I made my hubby take a quick picture as we were going out. You can just barely see my little guy in the grass behind me. He didn't want to get in the car.
