Long skirt to top refashion

I bought this skirt in a charity shop while on the look out for items with decent fabric and lots of it.

I especially liked the border, and planned to use it as the hemline of a top.

The fabric was very slippery but my new walking foot helped.

I used a pattern and this was how it turned out.
