When I first purchased Colette's Penny pattern, I had grand plans of making a classic shirt dress. I had the perfect fabric - a thrifted, striped bed sheet and a white, button down for the cuffs and collars.
Unfortunately, the dress started to look like a 50's waitress costume. Instead of tossing it, I decided to embrace the dress as a costume and made a matching apron to finish the look.
