Everyone, of course, has their own experiences, interests and concerns, and I for one find it fascinating to read about how individuals arrived at the conclusion to sew and refashion. Particularly when the author is as expressive as Mr Flintoff and has access (through his job as a features writer for a major UK newspaper) to such a variety of inspirational people and organisations as he references in this book.
You can read my larger review of 'Sew Your Own' here, but in short: I would recommend getting hold of a copy of this book, I’d be surprised if there was nothing you found in it which touched you. Alternatively, it would make a great present for anyone you know who has expressed interest in your refashioning shenanigans, or those who could do with some schooling about why you refashion and create.
