Hey, Re-Fashionistas! I am Liza, (yes, like Minnelli) I am so excited to be a part of such an awesome group! I have recently jumped onto the blogosphere and started Happy Lizard Hill, where I blog about all my projects, sewing, crocheting, making paper, I like to dabble in many things. I refashion to save money, to be original, and I just enjoy the process and I LOVE to recycle anything I can. So it is affirming to see so many others who share these ideas with me.
Today I am bringing you a ridiculously simple skirt made from just a
T-shirt and enough elastic to go around your waist. You'll want a t-shirt that is too big for you, from the underarm to seam is the length, so hold against you and guesstimate if it is long enough.
Cut the most you can out of the t-shirt like above, sorry for the blur, I had a baby strapped to my chest.
Measure your elastic to whatever size you wear, it will be tightened when you knot it.
In the former hem of the shirt cut a little hole and thread your elastic through with a saftey pin and knot it really good, don't want it popping open and your skirt falling off now do we?
Stretch it around so the knot is away from the hole.
Try it on!
You could fancy it up with some fabric paint or trim or applique. I left mine as is super cool and comfy for wearing around the house.
It's been fun, Hope to see you over at Happy Lizard Hill, we love to make new friends!

Well welcome. That project looks easy enough for me to actually try lol. Naw really I try a lot of what I see here. Hope to see more soon :)
Great idea - I love quick projects like this, it's really rewarding to see results so quickly.
