First of all, I hope this post is okay. It's not "clothes" per se, but it is a wearable and it is definitely a newly-important part of my wardrobe. If this isn't okay, feel free to remove!
A few days ago I had a blast painting some shoes. I LOVE shoe recons, but I'd never done one before. I decided to start small, and I think they turned out great!
So I took some black waxed cotton cord from my jewelry-making stash and super-glued them in rows over the painted edge:
This wasn't part of my original plan, but it turned out even better than I'd originally hoped!
This was a super fun and easy recon and a GREAT way to take a boring-but-comfy pair of shoes to the next level. You can see the full post with a more detailed tutorial on my blog here.

Accessories are welcome. As with any garment, it is much better to refashion the shoes and wear them than to let them linger in the closet unworn.

These look great - the cord on top of the painted edge gives a very finished look. Good job.
