The Gold Party Dress

Hello Refashion Co-op. I should have titled this post "Fast Formal Wear". I took this dress and tried to make it fit without lengthy or time consuming alterations. If I was going to wear this dress for one evening, I would want it to look nice but I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time on it. It was a bit big through the body and gaped open in the front. You can see me holding it closed below. The waist tie made the waist fit and the full skirt was fine as it was, but the body of it was still too loose.

I couldn't just take in each side because there was a zipper on one side, it's on the right in the picture below.

I took it in a little here and a little there and made it work for a quick but fancy evening out. In the snow. Still deep in melting snow here.
